Foster/Companion care provides assistance with daily living
skills and other individual needs in a manner similar to the
residential program. However, foster care is provided in the
caregiver's private residence, which must meet all the HCS
programmatic requirements. The foster care provider resides in the
residence with from one to three individuals
Foster/Companion care service is available through D&S
Residential Services in all of its service areas and has been a very
successful residential assignment for many individuals enrolled in
the HCS program.
