D&S Residential Services believes that that all people have a right
to a dignified quality of life as full citizens with a home, the
opportunity to pursue meaningful relationships, and to work and play
in their communities. Through our supported living, supported
employment, and community-based day programs, D&S staff help our
service recipients maximize their ability to connect with their
community.
Furthermore, D&S believes that all persons have a right to have and
make choices, and be contributing members of their communities.

Enjoying Our Community
Recreational activities are a vital part of life. Service
recipients plan and participate in a wide range of activities
including bowling, softball, fishing, gardening, going to movies,
concerts, church, using the local libraries, visiting friends, and
joining clubs.
D&S staff hosts our annual Halloween and Christmas parties for
our consumers and their friends.
Our consumers attend the annual Shriner’s circus, the Tennessee
Valley Fair, The Prom of the Stars, and many community celebrations
throughout the year.
