OPTIONS

The purpose of the Options for Community Living Program is to enable consumers to live independently in their own homes or in a community-integrated setting.

The Options for Community Living services are designed to assist individuals with functional limitations remain independent at home through the provision of a variety of supportive in-home services.

These limitations are referred to as limitations with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, communications, and other problems that would limit an individual’s ability to live at home safely.

The Options program is designed to allow ready access to community resources in order to improve quality of life for consumers and caregivers.

The Options program is further intended to promote increased coordination in planning, incorporating consumer input, preferences, and consumer selection of providers as well as services.

Individuals 18 years of age or older with functional limitations may qualify for the Options program.

State funds for this program are made available through the Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability.
