A Letter To Our Placement Coordinator
Patricia Loftus

Dear Tricia,

I am a mother and a grandmother. You recently helped with a placement in the Abilene residential facility. I would like to extend my thanks for your professionalism, attention to detail and most of all, for the goodness in your heart.

I think you are aware of the battles that parents have fought for years trying to help their children. It's been SO HARD, and it really takes a toll on them. My granddaughter has told me that she felt like a human guinea pig. She has been on so many different meds, some of which made her a literal drooling zombie. I hope that you can understand the significance of your involvement.

Your work ethic cannot be praised enough. It's nothing unusual to find indifferent, bored people who make you feel that you are inconveniencing them associated with the MHMR system, and getting things done in a timely manner is, for the most part, a total exercise in futility. My daughter was so impressed with your knowledge of the system. Your expertise and skills provided almost instant cooperation with MHMR to get the paperwork needed to process her immediately. My daughter was just totally blown away with your job expertise, your attention to detail and the expeditious manner that the processing route took under your control. You did not stop there, though. You took my granddaughter and her mom through the whole process, explaining to both of them how things would work and providing information. You also scheduled the pre-placement and gave my daughter information on how to contact her and updates on how she was doing.

I understand that you took my granddaughter to Dairy Queen for a hamburger on the way to Abilene. That was the icing on the cake for me. My daughter told me if she could have hugged you through the phone she would have!

How does a grandma adequately thank you for your efforts to expedite, for your job expertise, or your quality work ethic, your good heart? How do I convey what is in my heart for the peace of mind that you have bought to my child and for the quality of life that you have brought to my granddaughter?

Your professionalism and kind heart have profoundly affected my family, and I wanted you to know that if I ever get to meet you I'm going to hug you, too!

I have also written a letter to Mr. Atkins, President of your company regarding your job performance and caring heart. He needs to know what an asset you are, not only as an employee, but more importantly as a good hearted, caring human being.

Sincerely,
Grandmother in Princeton, Texas
