Brenham Annual Fun Day
D & S Day Habilitation Center in Brenham Texas held there 1st Annual Fun Day Event on June 26, 2009. This event included a min-parade, track and field events, dancing, and BBQ for the individual's to participate in. Even though the weather was hot... everyone had a great time. Many of the local businesses donated supplies to make our event a success: McDonald's, HEB, Fantastic Sams, Blue Bell, Chappell Hill Sausage, Dr. Pepper, Coca-Cola, Brenham Trophy and Chem-Dry. Lewis Funeral home put up a tent for shade. Richard McDonald designed T-shirts for the individual's to wear. The Brenham Fire Dept. brought a fire truck for everyone to see. Brenham Outreach Advisory Council bought their individual's to participate in the fun.
It is a wonderful feeling to collaborate with everyone in the local community to bring joy and happiness to such a wonderful group of people. Our hats off to the local community in Brenham Texas. D&S consumers and staff both had a great time.
